Carmen Day has a job she loves in the medical Photography Department at Royal Hospital. Her job is threatened when downsizing expert Max Devereaux announces his plans to shut the department down in a cost cutting measure. When Carmen finds out and storms into Max's office to demand he reconsider, he is impressed with her spirit and drive. He gives Carmen one week to convince him to leave the department open.
