Teenage Head

Named after a Flaming Groovies track, Teenage Head were a mainstay of the punk world in Toronto. Rockabilly before it was really cool, I still have a pair of the TV spex worn on the front cover of this album. Frankie Venom was the lead singer, and always put on a great show. He passed away a short time ago. He was famous for climbing onto the speaker stack and traversing the overhead plumbing, often to disastrous effect. Although the band name Teenage Head was about a state of mind, there was some controversy about it, and the American label changed the band name to Teenage Heads!? This is glam rockabilly, something you don't see everyday. This still sounds great.
